Support Services helps get you connected to your community. There are no fess for accessing programs through Support Services.
Information and REferral Program (Intake)
Intake staff provide information, supported referrals, and advocacy to help community members connect to services and programs within Community Links, within your community, or from Government. They can support you to complete applications online or in paper. The service is designed to empower community members to identify their specific needs and build knowledge and problem-solving skills to address challenges now and in the future.

This Service can be accessed by appointment at our Airdrie location during regular office hours. Phone service is available by calling 403-945-3900 or 1-866-945-3905. Please look to our Rural Services section on the website for services outside of Airdrie.
older ADULTS’ Program
The Older Adult Worker can provide one on one support to residents of Airdrie over the age of 55. This Program can be accessed over the phone or in person by appointment. To access this Program, community members need to have been referred by Information and Referral Program.
The Older Adult Worker can provide information and supported referrals to access older adult specific services and programs, including the completion of applications. This role can advocate for you to address barriers to support.
Older Adult Services facilitates the Friendly Visiting Program, an opportunity for older adults to connect with a volunteer for social connection.
Public education sessions are provided monthly at the Over 50 Club - see Older Adult Programs for more information.
Friendly VIsiting program
The Friendly Visiting Program offers supportive visits if you are an isolated older adult in need of companionship. The visits can take place at your home, in the community or by phone. Volunteers are matched based on similar interests and assist you in connecting with their community.
Basic needs program
The Basic Needs Program is a number of activities geared towards meeting the basic needs of community members.
Public Access Room: there is a private space with access to a phone, printer, and computer with internet access for you to use.
Basic Needs Room: is a community closet where you can receive basic needs items including jackets, winter clothing, baby and hygiene items, bedding, emergency food bags and homeless backpacks.
This Program is created in partnerships with several community groups and is dependent on donations.
Sleep Country: Support Services is a referral hub to Sleep Country, helping you access free beds.
Extreme weather Support
Community Links is part of the Extreme Weather Action Collective, lead by the City of Airdrie. During periods of extreme weather (-40 degrees Celsius), support is available if you are needing information and supported referrals to address identified needs, or weather appropriate basic needs support.
Reaching home
If you are facing housing insecurity, please reach out to our Information and Referral Program to discuss your suitability for our Reaching Home Program. This Program is designed to support you to address any barriers to securing appropriate housing.
ID Clinic
If you are struggling to obtain Government issued ID, please reach out to our Information and Referral Program, for connections to our ID Clinic for support.
AIRDRIE FAIR ACCESS PROGRAM (AFA)
Support Services supports and approves applications for the Airdrie Fair Access Program on behalf of the City of Airdrie.
If you are low-income citizen of Airdrie, this Program supports subsidized programming within Airdrie. It qualifies you and your family for admission, passes and registered programs at the City of Airdrie Recreation Centers, Airdrie Transit fares (including ACCESS Airdrie, ICE, and Airdrie Hello-to-Go), Bert Church Theater and Criminal Records Checks to reduce barriers to employment or to volunteer.

North Rocky VIew County FAIR ACCESS PROGRAM (RVCFA)
Support Services supports and approves applications for the Rocky View County Fair Access Program on behalf of Rocky View County.
If you are a low-income resident of North Rocky View this Program supports subsidized programming within Airdrie. It qualifies you and your family for admission, passes and registered programs at the City of Airdrie Recreation Centers and Bert Church Theater.
You must meet income requirements and provide proof of residency. Some restrictions apply. Contact Community Links to obtain an application form. Rocky View Fair Access Program
COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX PROGRAM (CVITP)
In partnership with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Support Services utilizes volunteers to prepare income tax returns for Airdrie and North Rocky View region community members.
The Program is designed to support you if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
Support Services staff provide you with information and support to gather all the necessary forms for the completion of your income tax.
