Do you have a neurodivergent child, or child with a disability and want somewhere safe to play? Do you want to connect with other families with similar experiences? This sensory friendly group is for parents and their neurodivergent children once a month (neurotypical siblings are more than welcome to attend as well). There will be lots of play opportunities for you and your child/ren as well as a Parent Coach to share information about parenting topics, information on upcoming community programs and events, answer your questions about your child’s behaviour and development, as well as direct you to other services.
How do I sign up?
All adults must complete an annual registration which will include information about each child who may attend the program with them. Please register online or if needed when you arrive at the Program.
What is a drop in?
Drop in for this program means you can choose one day each week to bring the family; space availability is on a first come first serve basis. Once the program has reached capacity, then the Program will be closed to additional participants for the day. SENSORY EXPLORERS IS FULL signs will be posted when the capacity is met.
Can someone else bring my child?
A caregiver or someone who is not the child’s parent can bring the child after the registration is completed, and consent provided by the parent. The caregiver will be asked to complete a registration for themselves at the door.
Age range: For parents and children 0 – 12 years
Dates: Last Thursday of the month: June 25, July 30, August 27, September 24, October 22 & November 26, 2026
Time: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Cost: No cost (donations gratefully accepted)
Registration deadline: Registration is on-going so if the program has already started and is not at capacity, you may still be able to attend. Please contact Community Links for more information.
